Everybody is a unique individual. We all come in different shapes and sizes, have different strengths and weaknesses, and find that some things are easier or more difficult for us than they are for others. This is especially true when it comes to transforming your own physique. Some of us may be quad dominant, while another is more hamstring dominant. One person might find their hips aren’t very mobile, while someone else may have trouble with shoulder stability. Would a training program for someone who has been training for 5 years be the same as someone who’s just starting out? Of course not. Your own individual program must factor in where you are starting and what your goal is. Whether it has to do with strength, metabolism, mobility, or anything else, we are all very different; and it’s precisely this reason that the utmost care must be taken when designing a training and nutrition program.
I don’t believe in meal plans. They allow no flexibility, aren’t sustainable and often times do more harm than good because they focus on the short term and don’t give you the tools you need to stay on top of your nutrition when life hits you with a curve-ball. Many people can drop 10 pounds, but the hard part is keeping it off without starving yourself. There is no reason to cut out the foods you enjoy, only to have “cheat meals” where you binge and gain back half the weight you’ve lost. I want you to be able to enjoy the foods you love, while also having the body you’ve dreamed of.
